1. GO TO VANILLA CUPCAKES
Smelling sweet of butter, sugar and vanilla, these classic little cakes bring you right back to when you were a kid and Mom baked your birthday cupcakes.
GO TO VANILLA CUPCAKES RECIPE

2. GO TO CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES
Moist and deeply chocolatey, these cupcakes are divine with virtually any frosting, but they are also delicious with a dusting of confectioners' sugar. When preparing the batter, plain yoghurt will do if you don't have sour cream on hand.
GO TO CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES RECIPE

3. OLD FASHIONED CARAMEL CUPCAKES
Old-Fashioned Caramel is a cupcake that can't be rushed. It's a true labour of love. The caramel has to cool for a while before you can make the frosting, and then you need to use the frosting right away. If the frosting gets too thick to spread, add just a little cream or milk to make it spreadable. But rest assured—It is definitely worth the effort.

4. BROWNIES CUPCAKES A LA MODE
Fudgy and brownie-like, these cupcakes would be excellent candidates for a gathering with a toppings bar. Pre-scooping and refreezing the ice cream will prevent the desserts from getting too soupy too fast and give everyone time to sing a second round of "Happy Birthday."

5. S’MORES CUPCAKES
These are the perfect S’ mores cupcakes, a graham cracker base, soft and decadent chocolate cake, gooey Hershey’s chocolate buttercream centre and toasted marshmallow frosting.

8. SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE CUPCAKES
Sour cream pound cake cupcakes aren’t called “pound” for nothing. Maybe it’s because of what happens to your hips when you eat too many? Take it from me, more than a couple of these will leave you trying to get your jeans buttoned without a lot of success. Classic sour cream pound cake cupcakes transform one of the best desserts ever (I think) into a bite-size form. Spread on a heap of whipped cream frosting and dig in!

2. SHC 20 MOUTH-WATERING RECIPES FOR CUPCAKES & MUFFINS
20 MOUTH-WATERING CUPCAKE & MUFFIN RECIPES

When the 'CUPCAKES' revolution took off, little did we all know that it would take the world by storm. So much so that years later it still seems to be the top-selling item in most bakeries across the globe and there’s just no getting over it. The tiny, little miniature cakes wrapped in beautiful paper cups, topped with smooth and creamy frosting, and adorned with myriad sprinklers are not only a sight for the sore eyes but an immensely satisfying treat for anyone with a sweet craving. Probably, what makes them such a huge hit is the fact that they are bite-sized, which somehow makes you feel less guilty indulging, and they come in so many interesting flavours!
On the other hand, 'MUFFINS' are awesome because, well, they're basically caked for breakfast. How can you go wrong? The other great thing about muffins is that the flavour combinations are endless. When all that goodness comes in a portable, easy-to-eat package, it's basically a breakfast trifecta. I very much hope that you will enjoy these recipes as much as I do.
SHC 20 Mouth-watering Recipes for Cupcakes & Muffins
A) CUPCAKES
What makes cupcakes, so tempting is also the way it is laid out. If you have a party coming up, think of interesting ways to serve them to your guests. You can arrange them on a plain chopping board in quirky shapes or even as the name of a person. Or pile them up on a cake stand to make a delicious pyramid.
A trending pop culture favourite, cupcakes have also inspired new foodie twists and imaginative decorated takes on the classic frosted version. Are you tempted yet? If not, you will be after you see these ‘10 TASTY HOMEMADE CUPCAKE RECIPES’ I am about to share with you now!

1. PEANUT BUTTER & CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES

3. SUPER MOIST RED VELVET CUPCAKES
The BEST Red Velvet Cupcakes are a light cake with a beautiful red colour and a slight chocolate flavour with a little tang from the buttermilk.  They are perfectly moist and topped with cream cheese frosting.  You will agree that these are the best! Red velvet is by far the favourite in my family. In a house divided by vanilla and chocolate, we somehow come together in red velvet. I’ll never tell the vanilla half that there’s a smattering of cocoa powder in these babies. They don’t need to know that they’re secret chocolate lovers too.

And normally, I’m not a fan of sprinkles, but these little confetti/sequin sprinkles, are just fun!  I do like dots better than lines though.
PRETTY RAINBOW CUPCAKES RECIPE

5. PINK LEMONADE CUPCAKES WITH PINK LEMONADE FROSTING
This pink lemonade cupcake recipe is inspired by my granny’s recipe. Normally I’d start this recipe with a homemade white cake batter, but we’ll be using Pillsbury Purely Simple White Cake Mix to make this recipe super quick and easy, all without sacrificing that old-fashioned taste. Promise!

B) SHC 10 DELICIOUS HOMEMADE MUFFIN RECIPES

From classic blueberry muffins to banana crunch to chocolate chip, get busy in the kitchen with these ‘10 DELICIOUS HOMEMADE MUFFIN RECIPES’ perfect for any breakfast, snack or dessert craving! But before that I would like to share with you (if I may), a few tips to make your muffin especially perfect:
a. Don't overmix the batter when you add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Stir until evenly mixed and just moistened.
b. Fill your muffin cups about three-fourths full of the batter. If you fill or overfill the tins, the muffins are more likely to come out flat on top.
c. Allow muffins to cool 10 mins in the pan before eating.
d. Fresh-baked muffins are the best kind of muffins, but you usually won't eat a whole batch at once. To reheat leftovers, just put them in a 200ºF oven for about 10 minutes and they'll be back to their original, fresh-baked splendour!

1. BEST BLUEBERRY MUFFINS EVER

7. STRAWBERRY MUFFINS
Packed with sweet strawberries, these tender muffins with crisp, golden tops are perfect for a special breakfast or brunch. They’re a nice change from blueberry muffins, and just as delicious. The secret is adding a lot of berries to the batter which gives the muffins an intense strawberry flavour and keeps them very moist — along with a touch of almond extract to complement the fruit.
STRAWBERRY MUFFINS RECIPE

8. HOMEMADE DOUBLE CHOCOLATE MUFFINS
If you’re wondering what kind of woman would feed her family chocolate for breakfast, please don’t confuse these muffins with chocolate cupcakes; they’re not nearly as sweet, and since they’re made with buttermilk, brown sugar and baking soda, they have an open crumb as opposed to a fine, cake-like texture. No frosting makes them entirely plausible for breakfast and not too decadent for an after-school snack. YUMMYY! Okay, who am I kidding? They’re not exactly good for you — they’re chocolate! — but who cares?!
HOMEMADE DOUBLE CHOCOLATE MUFFINS RECIPE

9. CHOCOLATE BANANA MUFFINS

To kick off the baking I thought it would be fun to combine my favourite seasonal drink, hot chocolate, with the always popular peppermint candy to create a festive cupcake. I am thrilled with how delicious and adorable these Hot Chocolate Cupcakes with Peppermint Buttercream turned out and hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
These cupcakes are your basic chocolate recipe with the addition of a prepared cup of Hot Chocolate mixed in. The magic happens when you add the peppermint buttercream on top. The combination of chocolate and peppermint is perfect together, not to mention it gives you some fresh breath! This recipe makes about 20 cupcakes.

5. TASTY CARAMEL MOCHA CUPCAKES
The cupcakes are flavoured with some instant espresso coffee powder dissolved in a little hot water. Using regular coffee won’t give them a strong enough flavour to really taste it. The espresso mixture is more concentrated and gives just the right amount of coffee flavour. These Caramel Mocha Cupcakes are made with a coffee flavoured cupcake, caramel frosting and caramel drizzled on top! A coffee favourite in dessert form! This recipe makes about 12-14 cupcakes.

6. SWEET POTATO CUPCAKE WITH MARSHMALLOW FROSTING
This cupcake has it all: texture, sweet and savoury flavour, beauty! Moist spiced, sweet potato cake with a brown sugar pecan topping baked inside, all topped with the easiest homemade marshmallow frosting. And then you get the torch! Isn’t this fun!?

7. ALMOND CUPCAKE WITH FIG FILLING & MAPLE BUTTERCREAM
If you want to liberate yourself from pumpkin spice overload in the fall, don't forget about maple syrup. Combined with figs and almonds, it's a lighter way to end your turkey day.

8. ORANGE CRANBERRY CUPCAKES
Though cupcakes haven’t traditionally been a Thanksgiving dessert, these orange-cranberry delights deserve a place on the table. The sweet fresh flavour of orange, studded with tart cranberries (fresh/frozen works equally well), makes for a vibrant dessert as worthy as any Thanksgiving pie.

9. TOASTED MARSHMALLOW CUPCAKES
The pretty twirl of toasted marshmallow gives these an elegant look that’s perfect for any special occasion, Thanksgiving included! And a surprise bitter chocolate ganache filling makes the cupcakes perfect for the decadence of the Thanksgiving dessert table.

10. WHITE CUPCAKES
Spice is nice, but nothing beats a good old-fashioned white cupcake. Jazz it up with your favourite flavour – try adding maple syrup, zest of an orange or cinnamon to the frosting – or keep it simple & classic.
Cupcake Recipes

1. RED VELVET VAMPIRE CUPCAKES
No, these cupcakes don't need bandages. What looks like a gory encounter with the Count himself is just raspberry jam brightened with a drop of red food colouring. And if you dare sink your own teeth into them, you'll find that more raspberry jam and chocolate wait in the centre.

2. TIRAMISU CUPCAKES
Pair together 2 mouth-watering words and the recipe for the ultimate dessert is served! These moist, irresistible cupcakes are made with one of the best combinations ever, chocolate & coffee. These 2 ingredients paired together make the world-famous Italian dessert Tiramisù. is amazingly easy to make, and it doesn’t take more than 30 mins.
My 5 secrets for making the BEST Tiramisù Cupcakes around. Take note and you won’t regret it:
a. Choose a 'HIGH-QUALITY MASCARPONE CHEESE' (just like a true Italian would do!).
b. Look for 'ORGANIC, UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER'. It will truly make the difference!
c. Use a 'MEDIUM ROAST GROUND COFFEE' to make the espresso. Keep instant coffee as far away as possible from these gorgeous cupcakes.
d. 'A CUPCAKE MAKER'. This kitchen accessory will change your life. It makes perfect, moist cupcakes in 7 mins, and you don’t have t worry about heating the oven or burning the cakes. It’s completely mess-free and easy to clean, you can’t help but love it.

11. RED VELVET CUPCAKES

One of the best things about these cupcakes is the ease of putting them together. Unlike many of my cupcakes, there’s no creaming involved. Instead, this recipe uses oil and it provides a wonderfully moist cupcake that stays delicious for several days. Perfect for sharing with friends whom you want to shower some cupcake love all over. The method is quite simple. Combine the dry ingredients, then the wet ingredients (minus the hot water), combine them, then add the hot water. So easy, right?!

12. THE BEST FUNFETTI CUPCAKES
Muffin Recipes

1. SALTED CARAMEL BUTTERMILK BROWN SUGAR MUFFINS
I had never made the recipe as muffins, but when I make the bread, it always rises beautifully and cooks through so evenly. And it’s such an easy recipe to make. One bowl, no mixer, nothing fussy. I love when muffins get a nice domed top. And when they’re dripping in salted caramel. But not all of the muffins get that coveted dome. Nor are they always drenched in caramel. These easy, one-bowl, no-mixer muffins are soft, wonderfully moist, and the crumb has the perfect balance of density and lightness. The batter has melted butter, oil, and buttermilk to keep the muffins fluffy and tender. Don’t overfill your muffin pan because the muffins rise very well. While baking, the butter and brown sugar caramelize, creating subtle caramel undertones. Although they don’t ‘need’ it, I played up the caramel profile by drizzling with salted caramel.

2. BEST EVER BLUEBERRY MUFFINS

3. PEACHES AND CREAM MUFFINS
These moist and fluffy Peaches and Cream Muffins are sure to make you weak at the knees!

4. CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRY MUFFINS
